Discover What Political Science at °Ä²Êͼ¿â Can Do for You
Whether you’re an admitted student with an interest in law and politics, or a current UAF student exploring new academic directions, the Department of Political Science invites you to a virtual info session and panel discussion on Wednesday, June 11 at 1 p.m. AKST via Zoom. This event is an opportunity to learn more about what political science at UAF offers—and how it might be the right fit for your interests and career goals.
Political science at UAF is a dynamic, flexible major that prepares students for careers in law, public service, international affairs, advocacy, and beyond. The department also houses the pre-law minor, and offers rich connections to programs like Justice, Arctic and Northern Studies, Philosophy, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Many students find that political science complements their primary major—or becomes a new one.
Hear directly from a panel of faculty and students: Brandon Boylan, Department Chair and Director of Arctic and Northern Studies; Attorney Carol Gray, Assistant Professor of Public Law, pre-law advisor, and WGSS coordinator; and Cole Osowski, recent graduate, student leader, and future law student. They’ll share insights about courses, opportunities, internships, and how political science can work for you. All interested UAF students are welcome. For questions, contact Dr. Carol Gray at cjgray5@alaska.edu.
