UAF, Explore.org launch live muskox webcam

The °Ä²Êͼ¿â and the live nature cam network Explore.org have launched the network's first live webcam stream dedicated to one of the Arctic's most iconic animals: the muskox.

Workshop focuses on farming, water and drought in Alaska

The impact of drought on agriculture is the topic of two free workshops offered through the National Drought Mitigation Center, °Ä²Êͼ¿â Cooperative Extension Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Northwest Climate Hub. The workshops will be held in person from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in Delta Junction (location to be determined) and Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center in Palmer. The Palmer workshop also will have a remote option. Lunch will be provided at the in-person sessions to those by Nov. 7.

Webinar to assist small businesses, startups

The Alaska Center for Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship at the University of Alaska Fairbanks has been awarded a federal grant to assist small businesses and startups. Evelyn Jacome, Alaska FAST director, will share more information about opportunities available through the program.Ìý
