How to Apply for Financial Aid
We're glad you're choosing UAF and want to help you plan for your college costs. Whether this is your first time applying to college or you’re transferring to UAF, these steps will help you move through your financial aid checklist easily. Check out these four steps to completing your aid and admission applications.
Complete the FAFSA
Take your first step and file the FAFSA. If you’re a minor and applying to your first year of college, this will typically require knowledge of your family's income and specific tax-related information. Get started as early as you can — applications open in October during your senior year of high school.
Apply for Admission
Get started on your application to UAF. We keep it simple — no test scores, essays or interviews — all we need is your unofficial transcript(s). Whether you apply via the °Ä²Êͼ¿â portal or the Common App, be sure to keep track of application deadlines.
